It’s only been a few short weeks since the previous TA2 Asia round at Bangsaen and next up, we’re set to take on Bira Race Circuit.
I have been super busy in the three weeks since the last round; including school and I also managed to squeeze in another race meeting at Queensland Raceway – where I competed in two different categories, so that was lots of fun!
I have been to Bira Race Circuit last year for a test day – which was actually my first taste of the TA2 Asia Series, so I’m keen to get back there and give it a red-hot crack. It’s a small, technical track, where our lap times are about 1:05’s, so it’s a little different to the previous tracks we’ve been to this year.
Paul and I are coming off a really successful round, so we will obviously be looking to push hard and come away with some more positive results. We’re still learning what the car is capable of, so hopefully we can continue our strong momentum this weekend.
We’re also both first and second in the Championship standings, so we’ll be fighting hard this weekend to make sure we stay up the top; especially as we head to the final rounds of the year.
This weekend’s format will see qualifying on Friday 27th September, with two hour-long races; one held Saturday and one Sunday.
