As the saying goes, there’s no rest for the wicked!
From Bathurst, NSW racing my Toyota 86 I now head to Thailand, Buriram for the final round of the TA2 Asia Series behind the wheel of my Tecpro Mustang.
We raced at Chang International Circuit earlier in the year, so I definitely have some confidence heading back there. I’ve also been looking at past GoPro footage, familiarising myself with the circuit again and ensuring I’m fully prepared.
The Buriram Circuit is very long and open and there’s a lot of room if you make an error, as there’s heaps of run off. The track has a good mixture of fast flowing parts and also has some hard braking spots; so it certainly has a bit of everything. It is quite a fun track to drive!
I’m currently sitting second in the Championship, so I’m feeling a little nervous and feeling a bit of pressure. Obviously I want to at least maintain my position or (obviously) take first place, so I have to ensure I don’t make any errors over the weekend. My teammate Paul Manuell is currently in first position, so we will both certainly be pushing hard this weekend!
I can’t wait to get there!
