I’m really looking forward to tackling Newcastle this weekend. It’s obviously the second time I’ve raced around this circuit and I had a pretty successful round last year. I managed to finished up 9th and 6th (although an unfortunate end to the weekend in race 3). I’m a bit more familiar with the track this time around and so hopefully I’ll be able to push hard and finish on a high.
I do enjoy this street style circuit, it’s pretty tight and fast and I must admit the first couple of practice sessions last year were a bit daunting. I certainly have a bit more confidence and so hopefully I can stay out of trouble and look to sit comfortably inside the top ten and maybe even give the top five a crack! Qualifying is always key and last year we didn’t qualify the greatest and had to work hard for the rest of the weekend, so I’ll certainly be looking to set myself up ahead of the races.
I’m currently sitting 8th in the Championship, it’d be nice to try and pick off a few more spots so I’ll be pushing hard and looking to finish the weekend off on a high.
I hit the track for the first Practice session on Friday 22nd November at 9:30am, local time.
